Elsevier, the world’s leading publisher of scientific, technical, and medical information products and services, announced today the launch of MD Consult Australia, the Australian edition of MD Consult (www.mdconsult.com), its online clinical reference tool. MD Consult Australia and MedConnect are now live and running in hospitals across Australia.
Much more valuable for the local Australian healthcare audience
The Australian Edition retains the key features of the US Edition, but brings together additional content specifically for Australian customers, either as additions to the core content, or as add-on packages. Most importantly, Australia-specific drug content (from the Australian Medicines Handbook (AMH)) replaces the previously accessible American drug information to ensure that brand names, dosages, indications and other information conforms with Australian requirements and are appropriate for our local physicians.
The launch of MD Consult Australia enables Australian physicians to access pertinent point-of-care and clinical information from one interface, and is part of our continued efforts to use the best of global and local content to provide even more relevant and timely resources to our customers. – Rob Kolkman, Managing Director of Elsevier Australia”
